Pre-Wedding Photoshoot

I need help! as the title says, pre-wedding photoshoot!

We would be doing a local shoot probably 4-6 months before the wedding so that is no problem, still have time, BUT! i have friends who did their pre-wedding shoot oversea 1.5 years before! so that means by end of this year or early next year we have to do it?

I really do not know the time frame! So anyone who has done oversea pre-wedding shoot, need a bit of advice!

Place were going for oversea shoot? The very romantic BALI!!

Yes BALI! SO EXCITING!

Doing some research online on which places are beautiful and it depends on photographer.

Right now were talking to 2 different photographers from different companies. Shall not disclose till we have picked the right one!

Gosh if its really 1-1.5 years before the wedding, I HAVE TO START LOSING WEIGHT NOW!
and do facials and all those vanity nonsense..

I shall go and look up bali photos and location and post it next time

As for now, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! :)

My 23rd Birthday

Yes i know this has nothing to do with the wedding but its my birthday! and the fiance brought me out to eat at Outback Steakhouse.. Its really a good place to eat steak! its thick and yummy!!

And once again, the fiance outdid himself and gave me lots of presents! and ALL VANITY presents! He knows me best

present no.1: Tsuya Tsuya Intense Eyelash Serum. He got sick of my complaining of my microscopic short lashes

present no.2: Sessenz 24K Gold Face serum for Germany! He didn't wanna tell me how much (of course!) but I checked online and the cheapest I found was $300! Inisde each serum bottle has bits of gold

present no.3: A new ELLE wallet, and i quickly check if its made in china (means its a fake or a cheapo!) and NO! its MADE IN FRANCE!

SO i guess he spent a bomb on me, and I wonder how did he buy all those girly stuff?! Like he goes into a shop and starts shopping? The ladies inside must be staring at him! But he braved it for me (awwwwww)

Anyways, photos below!

Top: Ordering food and i snapped a photo! adorable!
Our Spritzer drink, Peach and Strawberry

He bluffed me and said the mineral water and the hi-chew sweet is my presents!
 Tsuya Tsuya Serum

 There's tiny bits of gold
 My ELLE wallet!

A must try 8" Sirloin Steak Medium Rare

DIY Fan

As my wedding is done outdoor, I had an idea that was inspired by Style: Weddings Magazine.
It is basically a fan that is personally designed and on it is the program from the whole wedding ceremony to the reception to the speeches..
Its something like a 'wedding favour' as well. Though we have already a separate wedding favour (provided by venue) it'll be nice that we give something personalised. So that when they see it the guest would always be reminded of our wedding.. and what is  more appropriate than a fan right?

So below are the two videos that I wish to follow! :)

Videos and House of Mini!

OMGEEEE This is beautiful!

I might do this for my flower girls or even the bridesmaids!

This totally fits the garden theme were doing!

Below is my fave wedding video of all time! And this is why I don't like gatecrashing! hahaha..
The place is beautiful too!

YESSSSSSSS! This is a must on my wedding day! Sweet tooth!

They have superb tasting cupcakes and macaroons and other sweet desert that the guest would definitely enjoy!

Their website is http://www.houseofmini.com/

Highly highly recommended. With their range of different flavours, its not hard to find the right one for he occasion!

Wedding Hairstyle

So I told myself I don't want my hair tied up and I want it curled so went to google some hairstyles and voila! All the more I am decided to stick to this hairstyle!

Gowns, Suit, Bridesmaids, Wedding Ring

We have bought our wedding ring! and it'll take months and months and months to customise and all that and i hope it would be ready by our photoshoot early next year

As I'm customising my gown, here are some of my 'researched' dress.

Below are the photos of the kind of bottom I would like for my gown:

And now below is the type of top design I would like to combine with the bottom on top:

 You get the idea!

Now the bridesmaids dress! As you can see there's a certain design as well:
As some of my bridesmaids are conservative and some are open, so gotta compromise!

 sorry for the sold out

And now for the groom! He'd be wearing on that day! but the design is like something below:

Alright! That's it I guess!

By the way the wedding at RSYC will be at August 12! Can't wait!

And the Venue Hunt starts

Yes just as the title stated! We went Venue hunting Gerard and company! We went to a lot already! Almost 20 or more? I've lost track!

Either Charlotte or Tarine would be with me. I wonder when I can have them both?! :(

So below are the list of places we went (that i can remember because its the stand out)

Above: Gardenasia
Review: Place is nice. BUT! Its hidden in some place in singapore that I dont even know existed. It is in Kranji near the Sungei Gedong camp. And the mosquito is crazy!

Above: Keppel Club Berlayer Terrace
Review: Very Beautiful Place. Very nice view.
Can consider. But we don't have that "hair rising goosebumps this-is-it! kind of feeling"

 Above: Megu Hall
Review: I actually fell in love with the place! Its in town and its very classy. BUT... the solemnisation outside is so tiny! and where would Gerard and gang hang the flowers?! The Bella wedding isn't possible here.

Above: Spaboutique
Review: A balinese place. Very private and secluded. With a pool for an after-wedding party!
However, the place is too small.

Above: Alkaff Mansion
Review: For the rich and famous. Ridiculous pricing but very beautiful place.

Above: Japanese Garden
Review: Welcome to TOKYO! Yes its a beautiful place! Just gotta provide transportation for the guest cos its all the at lakeside!

Above: Joyden Hall
Review: The big screen is A-W-E-S-O-M-E! The fiance loved the place. But it does not fit our theme!!

Out of all the places we've been to, ONLY ONE PLACE gave us the 'hair rising goosebumpy this-is-it!' kind of feeling and that RSYC! or known as Republic of Singapore Yacht Club.

IT IS BEAUTIFUL with the background as the sea and the yachts! it is romantic especially at sunset! Singles would come and leave the wedding attached! HAHAHAHA

So below are some of the photos. I am biased so I out 3.

Gerard and team have an upcoming wedding in August 12 2012 so we'd be popping by to see the place and see how an actual wedding set up is like.. soo excited!

Will upload the photos then! :)

Details

Ok so here are some of the details that is very clear cut:

Traditional or not?
-Were keeping the tea ceremony part but that's it I guess.
Means:
No gatecrashing
No sit down 8-9 course chinese dinner
No hotel

Yes in Singapore its a big deal for a couple to be in a sit down hotel set up. But we feel that we want something to look back to and know that our wedding was different. It was unique and special.

Anyway, the GOOD thing about planning early is we have settled some of the miscellaneous stuff such as:

3 Photographer + 2 Videographer by Hans (CameraMan Photography and Bliss Bridal)
Local Photoshoot by Bliss Bridal
Parents gown and suit by Bliss Bridal
Oversea Photoshoot by Alex (Depixel Photography)

We have the best wedding planner who, i think are great not just in planning and deco and making a couple's dream wedding come true, but they're good friends. They're great people that they don't see us as clients but as friends and talk openly and comfortably with us, thus we feel the same way!

So we wanted the Breaking Dawn wedding of Bella and Edward Cullen as shown below:

Beautiful isn't?! And our planner (Butterflies and Cakes by the way) can duplicate this very beautifully which gets me more excited!

Our only difficulty (I don't know what right words to use, maybe problem? ahhh i don't know!) is the location!

You see Singapore isn't so popular with nature places compares to our neighbouring country like malaysia, bali, indo philippines etc. But still a wedding has to happen right?

Therefore off we go to venue hunting!

I'm Engaged!

Yes as you've known I'm engaged!!
So here I would show how the journey goes! :)

A brief Introduction

Bride: Early's 20's
Groom: Late 20's

Engaged on: October 15 2011
Wedding date: March 8 2014

Theme: Breaking Dawn's Wedding theme
Wedding Planner: Butterflies and Cakes

Yes yes go ahead and say it. Everyone's saying "oh its too early!" or "Why u so gan chiong?" and whatever comments.
Well I am a hopeless romantic, and I get married only once and of course, I want it to be special I want it to be the most romantic beautiful day and if i have to start planing 18 months ahead, then so be it!

Anyways, just enjoy the planning with me ok? :)
