Back from Bali!

Yes I'm back from Bali! It was a great trip! First time in my life doing a photoshoot!
Experience? Its amazing! BUT extremely extremely hot! Was sun burned so badly after that!
We went to a bunch of places!

Day 1:
Checked in and just relaxed in the hotel. Ate in a local restaurant opposite and the food is EXTREMELY DELICIOUS. Food that cannot be found in singapore and food that singapore has but taste completely different.
Went back early for a good rest.
Day 2:
Photoshoot day! 7am we were having breakfast and 8am doing make up! Lots of mosquito!
We went to Ubud and then to Niko Bali Resort for some camel riding shots.
WHY CAMEL?  I WANTED HORSE! By the beach! like those fairy tale sort! but... FULLY BOOKED. so we settle for camels. But still beautiful shots! I only have a few because I need to put them on my invite cards.
After that changed then went to Tanah Lot for more photos.
In the evening, we went for the famous traditional Balinese massage. HEAVENLY!
Day 3:
We went to see Batik making and silver making. Then to monkey forest where we wasted 20,000 Rupiah cos a cheeky monkey decided to grab the banana from my fiance's hands and ate it all up. The other monkey's didn't even get to try
Went to try the 'shit' coffee. The very expensive luwak coffee. I watch how the process was done and I realise it's actually not disgusting! The coffee bean did not touch the poo poo of the luwak. Its protected by the shell.
Went all the way up to Kintamani and froze. We further tortured ourselves by eating out in the cold and freeze even more. We were wearing singlets and shorts cos the weather was so hot! But it was an experience
Had dinner in Jimbaran. Super beautiful restaurants by the beach. We ate under the stars with the waves as our view.
After dinner we went to Bali's nightlife area and oh gosh, Bali's clubs are THE BOMB. Went extremely high! and party all night long!
Day 4:
Went shopping. Buying souvenir for my friends and family. Eat eat again. Oh and they're pizza hut is awesome! So much food to choose from. Very relax.
Day 5:
Goodbye Bali, Hello Singapore! I realised I missed home. nothing beats coming home
Below are 'sneak peak' photos from my photoshoot

Alright now, for floral deco! I'm considering with Lavender Love Florist. Have not confirmed yet. Contact person Meizhi is very efficient and replies email within 10 minutes.

I am still looking at another one.
Its Regina Mae Fleurs
As for Regina, she is AWESOME! Her flower arrangements are really pretty! I am super impressed by her! Though of course with talent, it comes with a price.

So I am hoping she can give me a good price. Cos I really love her and her works! And she is an awesome person. Very nice and very kind

Ok so this what I need from them:
Flower girl basket
Ring pillow
Signing pen for guest
Ring Bearer boy corsage

Entrance Arch with sash curtain
I want this kind of entrance gate kind of effect with a curtain and it opens up when I am about to enter
 (Below)

So I guess that's it about floral decoration. I really hope the wedding ceremony will look beautiful!

And now for Tiffany chairs! Who gets married outdoor without tiffany chairs right? Its not complete!
So went on extensive research and found Tiffany Chair by XOXO & Co. (Click for website!)

Pretty white Tiffany chair BUT since my wedding theme is pink and white, then I especially ordered pink cushions! Though they say the cushion will only come mid of the year so awesome!

Now I am just trying to maintain (or lose some more) weight before I go down to Bliss Bridal to go for gown fitting for my Bali photoshoot.

I am so happy when my gown designer told me she has started on my gown!
(Those who don't know, my actual day wedding gown is designed and customised for me cause I don't wanna use my wedding gown for photoshoot and I want it to be mine, no one else has worn it or rented it before. Only my photoshoot gowns for bali and Singapore shoot is rented)

My bridesmaids dresses is designed and customised for them, like a gift to them. I plan to get them same shoes as well! Oh well we'll see in a later time.

That's it for now!!

Let the wedding planning take off!!

GOING BALI

We have met with our photographer and we have chosen to go with Vince from Luminous Aether

Have seen his work and he is a really nice guy. He answered our questions in patience despite my 'interrogation'
His girlfriend who is his make up artiste is also very sweet. He showed us his albums and its similar to the one were taking here in singapore for our local shoot.

ok to break down.

WHEN ARE WE LEAVING?

May 25 2013-May 28 2013. It is said that rainy season is between October-April. Therefore May is the safest and just in time for our local photoshoot here in singapore in july!

WHY BALI?
According to my friend, it is a beautiful place and it so over rated cos like everyone is going for bali for their pre wedding photoshoot. And i agree with her! I was actually laughing when i read her text. But the fiance and I really want Bali.. It is also the largest tourist destination in the country and is renowned for its highly developed arts, including traditional and modern dance, sculpture, painting, leather, metalworking, and music. Bali, a tourist haven for decades, has seen a further surge in tourist numbers in recent years.

WHERE IN BALI DO WE STAY?
We have two choices. Kuta Beach and Seminyak Beach. Were still looking for hotels and book asap cos booking early is much much cheaper (can be up to $300 cheaper!). Once we have chosen, shall update and post photos up!

Kuta  Beach

 Seminyak Beach

Tanah Lot

This is the one of the most famous place for tourist.Tanah Lot is a rock formation off the Indonesian island of Bali. It is home of a pilgrimage temple, the Pura Tanah Lot (literally "Tanah Lot temple"), and a popular tourist and cultural icon for photography and general exoticism.

This is one of the places were going for our photoshoot. It looks exotic.. Something not found here!

Of course there are other places we'd go but we'd only find out the itinerary on that day! We'd be staying 4 days 3 nights with the photographer and the make up artiste. Alright that's it I guess!!

Bali Photography and Local Photography

This are the photography company I am choosing between to do my Bali Photoshoot. They are really good and their photos are good too! For the local shoot, we already settled that!

Can just imagine, both my bali and local photos in the dinner reception! SO NICE!

Depixel Photography

Alex, the photographer is good! How do I know that? Cause he took my engagement photos! He has yet to tell us the plan and all that. His album is pretty too!

To show off his samples, this is his facebook pageDepixel Photography

Luminous Aether Photography

Vince, the photographer, is the one I spoke with. We have never engaged him before but I saw his works and he frequently goes to Bali for photoshoot! He is actually going to  Bali again this Wednesday!

To view his photos, this is facebook page: Luminous Aether

Bliss Bridal Creations

Yes this is the company where were doing our local shoot! It is  Bliss Bridal Creations. They have a range of pretty gowns and their photographer has quite a good review. Omgee sat down for hours and hours from different bridal booth to another just so we wont decide in a haste!

Alright so once we have decided on the photographer's I shall update! Now we have to choose on which designer to design my gown! We have quite a number of choices with reasonable prices, but still, I have the image of the wedding gown I really like!

That's for next post!

Anyway, This sunday is RSYC's wedding. Just a quick recap, with all the places our wedding planner brought us, only rsyc or Republic of Singapore Yacht Club stands out and gave us that hair rising experience. It is romantic, with the sea view and all the yacht! Oh I cannot wait to walk down the aisle on this scenery.

And the bella (breaking dawn) wedding is so appropriate for this! I shall upload of the wedding that's gonna happen on sunday!
